A chauffeur company (an operator that employs and vets its own drivers, rather than connecting passengers to third-party ones) carries responsibility a booking platform does not. Barons Transport was founded in 2015 by two friends who started behind the wheel, and it still operates on that basis: the person who collects you works for us.
We run five services from a single dispatch desk, covering six London airports, corporate accounts for more than 100 businesses, hourly hire, event fleets and VIP work. Over 1,000 events have been covered across London and the UK.
Every chauffeur holds a Transport for London private hire licence and clears an enhanced DBS check before carrying a passenger. Vehicles carry full hire and reward insurance, and documentation is available to corporate accounts on request.

Barons Transport was founded in 2015 by two friends whose journey began behind the wheel. With over a decade of experience in the chauffeuring industry, they developed a deep, first-hand understanding of what truly defines exceptional service. Having worked as professional drivers themselves, they recognised the gaps within the industry where attention to detail, consistency, and genuine client care were often missing.
Barons emerged from a simple observation: the executive travel market in London lacked a service that truly understood the nuances of elite client expectations. Driven by this insight and a shared plan to raise standards, they set out to create something better. The name Barons reflects a legacy of prestige and distinction symbolising honour, authority, and elevated standards. These principles shape every aspect of our service, with a focus on refinement, discretion, and excellence.
We combine a fleet of luxury vehicles with chauffeurs who are genuinely passionate about their profession individuals who take pride in delivering a calm, reliable, and refined experience. The company started in 2015 with two drivers, which is why the standards below are written from the driver's side of the partition rather than a brand guideline. What we set out to do was narrow: run a service where the price is agreed before the journey, the driver is known to us, and the car turns up.
The values and the vetting exist to make that repeatable. Licensing by Transport for London sets the legal floor. Enhanced DBS checks, hire and reward insurance, and our own vehicle standards sit above it. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so a delayed flight or a schedule that moves at 04:00 is handled by a person rather than an app.
