Chauffeur Services London
Fixed Fares, Licensed Chauffeurs, Every London Airport
A chauffeur service is a pre-booked car with a professional driver, priced before you travel rather than metered during it. It places a vetted driver and a maintained vehicle at your disposal for a single journey, a block of hours, or a running corporate account.
Barons Transport has operated that service across London since 2015, from an office at 71-75 Shelton Street in Covent Garden. The fare is agreed when you book and locked there, so a jammed M4 or a late landing never moves it.
Every chauffeur holds a Transport for London private hire licence and clears an enhanced DBS check before carrying a passenger. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across six airports and the whole of Greater London.

What Our Clients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a chauffeur cost in London?
Hourly hire starts at £50 per hour and airport transfers start at £75. The exact figure depends on vehicle class, pick-up postcode and duration. Event and VIP bookings are quoted per brief because vehicle count and waiting time vary too widely for a rate card.
Are your chauffeurs licensed and vetted?
Yes. Every chauffeur holds a Transport for London private hire licence and has passed an enhanced DBS check before carrying a passenger. Vehicles carry full commercial hire and reward insurance.
What is as-directed hire?
As-directed hire reserves the vehicle and chauffeur for a block of time rather than a fixed route. You direct the stops as the day unfolds, add or skip destinations, and the agreed price stays put. It suits shopping days, multi-stop meetings and sightseeing.
Which airports do you cover?
Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Farnborough. All four Heathrow terminals are covered, along with both Gatwick terminals. Farnborough runs through FBO-accredited chauffeurs with airside clearance for private aviation.
Is a chauffeur better value than the Heathrow Express?
A chauffeur wins on total journey, the train wins on raw speed. The Heathrow Express reaches Paddington in 15 minutes, then you still need onward transport with luggage. A chauffeur runs door to door with bags carried, which usually closes the gap for anyone travelling with more than a cabin case.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes, and it costs nothing extra. Flights are tracked from departure, so dispatch works from the actual landing time rather than the timetable. Complimentary waiting starts once you are on the ground.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. Enter the passenger's name and mobile number so the chauffeur can reach them directly, and the confirmation still comes to you. Most corporate and event bookings are made this way.
Do you charge extra at night or on bank holidays?
No. There is no night rate, no weekend loading and no bank holiday surcharge. Dispatch operates continuously, and the fare quoted at booking is the fare charged.
Can you carry a group?
Yes. The V-Class seats seven with a full luggage load, and the Vito covers larger parties. For groups beyond one vehicle, a single coordinator manages the convoy so everyone arrives together on one quote and one invoice.
Do you offer corporate accounts?
Yes. Corporate accounts include consolidated monthly billing on Net-30 terms, a named account manager and priority dispatch. Over 100 London businesses currently run one.
What is a meet and greet?
A meet and greet means your chauffeur waits inside the terminal arrivals hall holding a name board, rather than in a car park. They take your luggage and walk you to the vehicle. It is standard on every airport arrival, not an upgrade.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancellations are handled by the dispatch desk, and notice periods depend on the service booked. Airport transfers carry the most flexible terms; event fleets and VIP engagements need longer notice because vehicles are held.
Book Your London Chauffeur
A pre-booked car with a professional driver removes the meter, the queue and the surge multiplier from London travel. Across five services, airport transfers open at £75, corporate accounts run on monthly billing, hourly hire reserves the day rather than the route, event work covers weddings and the racing calendar, and the VIP desk handles secure movements.
The fleet spans the E-Class through to the seven-seat V-Class and the Range Rover, covering six airports, Greater London and long-distance runs to Bath, Oxford and Manchester. Waiting time, parking, tolls and luggage handling already sit inside the price. Licensed, DBS-checked chauffeurs drive every journey, and dispatch answers around the clock.
